1. About this Privacy Policy
DAYNARO is a local-first personal finance, productivity, diary, reminder, Work Calendar, backup and document-management application.
DAYNARO is designed so that most personal information and records remain on your device unless you choose or enable a feature that requires information to leave the device, such as Google Drive backup and restore, Google Play purchases, exporting, importing or sharing files.
Daynaro Labs does not sell your personal data.
The current version of DAYNARO does not contain advertising or developer-operated analytics services.
This Privacy Policy explains what information DAYNARO may handle, why it is used, where it is stored, when it may leave your device, and the controls available to you.

3. Information DAYNARO does not intentionally collect
The current DAYNARO application is not designed to intentionally collect:
- precise or approximate location;
- contacts;
- SMS messages;
- call logs;
- phone numbers from the device address book;
- health or fitness data;
- browsing history;
- installed-app inventory;
- advertising identifiers; or
- information for targeted advertising.
DAYNARO does not use financial records for advertising.
4. How information is used
Information handled by DAYNARO is used to provide features requested by you, including:
- storing personal records;
- calculating balances and summaries;
- generating reports;
- managing budgets;
- tracking savings and debts;
- displaying account and card information;
- organizing diary entries;
- managing tasks and reminders;
- managing Work Calendar records;
- securing the application;
- performing receipt text recognition;
- storing and viewing Vault documents;
- creating backups;
- restoring backups;
- importing and exporting information;
- sharing information when requested by you; and
- determining DAYNARO Access eligibility and purchase ownership.
DAYNARO does not use your records to build advertising profiles.
5. Local storage
DAYNARO is designed primarily as a local application.
Core DAYNARO records are stored on your Android device.
The application currently does not operate a Daynaro Labs cloud database containing your financial, diary, Work Calendar or Vault records.
Your data therefore normally remains under the control of your device unless you enable or initiate functionality that transfers information elsewhere.
6. Security
DAYNARO uses technical protections intended to reduce unauthorized access to locally stored information.
Current protections include:
- an encrypted SQLCipher database;
- Android Keystore-backed protection for sensitive key material;
- optional PIN protection;
- supported biometric or device authentication;
- authenticated encryption for protected application media and Vault files;
- encrypted portable DAYNARO backups; and
- disabled Android Auto Backup for DAYNARO application data.
No security mechanism can guarantee absolute protection.
Loss of device-specific cryptographic keys may make locally encrypted information impossible to recover. Users should maintain a valid DAYNARO portable backup where appropriate.
7. Automatic and portable backups
DAYNARO supports password-protected portable backup packages using the .daynaro format.
A backup may contain:
- workspace data;
- financial records;
- diary data;
- reminders;
- Work Calendar information;
- application configuration; and
- selected media or documents supported by the backup format.
DAYNARO requires at least one supported automatic-backup destination to be configured during onboarding.
A supported local folder may be used without Google Drive.
DAYNARO may schedule:
- a daily automatic backup around 4:00 AM local time; and
- an additional delayed backup after supported data changes.
Android controls background execution and may delay or reschedule background backup work.
For unattended backups, DAYNARO stores protected cryptographic material needed to perform the configured backup workflow. It does not store the workspace password as plaintext for this purpose.
Users are responsible for protecting backup passwords and files and are encouraged to verify periodically that backups can be restored.
8. Optional Google Drive backup
Google Drive backup is optional.
If you connect a Google account for DAYNARO backup or restore, Google authentication and Google Drive services are used only for the functionality that you choose to enable.
DAYNARO may use the private Google Drive application-data area to perform supported operations involving DAYNARO backup files, including:
- creating backups;
- listing DAYNARO backups;
- replacing backups;
- downloading backups;
- restoring backups; and
- deleting supported DAYNARO backup files when requested.
Daynaro Labs does not use Google Drive access to inspect unrelated files in your Google Drive.
Information received from Google APIs is used only to provide or support the user-facing Google functionality described in this Privacy Policy. DAYNARO's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Information processed independently by Google is also subject to Google's own privacy practices.
Disconnecting Google authorization prevents DAYNARO from continuing to use that authorization, but it does not necessarily delete DAYNARO backup files already stored in the connected Google account. Backup files must be deleted separately using the available DAYNARO or Google controls where applicable.
9. Receipt recognition
DAYNARO can recognize text from receipt images.
The current receipt-recognition implementation uses on-device text recognition.
Receipt information may then be used by DAYNARO to help the user create or review records.
DAYNARO does not intentionally send receipt contents to a Daynaro Labs server.
10. Microphone and voice notes
DAYNARO may request microphone permission when you choose to record a Diary voice note.
Microphone access is used for the recording feature requested by you.
DAYNARO does not intentionally record audio continuously or for advertising, profiling or analytics purposes.
Voice notes are treated as user-created DAYNARO content and stored according to the application's local-storage and backup behavior.
11. Notifications and reminders
DAYNARO may request notification permission to deliver functionality such as:
- task reminders;
- financial due reminders;
- renewal reminders;
- diary or special-day reminders;
- backup-status notifications; and
- other reminders enabled by the user.
DAYNARO may also use Android alarm and restart-related functionality to schedule or restore eligible reminders.
Notifications can be controlled through DAYNARO settings and Android system settings.
12. Biometric and device authentication
DAYNARO may use Android biometric or device-authentication services when you enable supported application-lock functionality.
DAYNARO does not receive your fingerprint image or biometric template.
Biometric verification is performed by the Android operating system and supported device security components.
13. DAYNARO Access
DAYNARO provides an initial 30-day full-access period after successful onboarding.
This 30-day period:
- is managed by DAYNARO;
- is not a Google Play subscription trial;
- does not automatically enroll you in a subscription; and
- does not automatically charge you when the period ends.
After the initial period, DAYNARO may offer:
- Monthly Access;
- Annual Access; and
- Lifetime Access.
Without an active DAYNARO Access entitlement after the initial access period, creation or import of new logical user data may be restricted.
Existing information remains available for supported ownership and recovery operations, including viewing, editing, deleting, searching, reporting, exporting, backing up and restoring.
14. Google Play Billing
Monthly and Annual DAYNARO Access are provided through Google Play subscriptions.
Lifetime Access is provided as a Google Play one-time product for the current local/offline DAYNARO application.
Google Play processes the purchase transaction and payment method.
DAYNARO does not receive or store your full payment-card number or Google Play payment credentials.
DAYNARO receives and processes purchase-related information supplied through Google Play Billing that is required to:
- determine product availability;
- verify whether applicable DAYNARO products are owned;
- grant DAYNARO Access;
- restore purchases;
- reconcile entitlement status; and
- determine when ownership should be reverified.
DAYNARO may maintain local entitlement and verification information to support appropriate offline application behavior.
The current release does not use a Daynaro Labs entitlement server and does not send Google Play purchase tokens to a Daynaro Labs backend.
Subscription management, renewal and cancellation are handled through Google Play.
Uninstalling DAYNARO does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.
15. Importing information
DAYNARO may allow you to import supported data from files you select.
Imported files are processed to create records inside DAYNARO.
Importing new logical user data may require current DAYNARO Access after the initial access period.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to import information contained in files selected by you.
16. Exporting and sharing
DAYNARO can create or share information when explicitly requested by you.
This may include:
- PDF reports;
- spreadsheets;
- CSV files;
- backup files;
- images;
- documents; and
- other supported content.
Exported files such as PDFs, spreadsheets or CSV files may not be encrypted.
Once information has been exported or shared outside DAYNARO, its security depends on the destination, application or person selected by you.
Users should choose trusted destinations when exporting or sharing sensitive information.
17. Android system pickers and other applications
DAYNARO uses Android-provided file, document or sharing interfaces for supported functionality.
When you choose a destination or another application, that application or service may receive the content that you intentionally selected.
Information received by another application is governed by that application's own privacy practices.
18. Institution names and brand assets
DAYNARO includes an offline directory of supported financial institutions and card issuers and permits users to enter custom institution names.
Supported institution logos or glyphs included with DAYNARO are stored with the application.
DAYNARO does not need to contact a financial institution or online logo provider merely to display these bundled assets.
Names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Their inclusion does not indicate endorsement, partnership, verification or access to accounts held with those institutions.
19. Third-party services
Depending on the functionality you use, DAYNARO may interact with services provided by third parties, particularly:
- Google Play, for app distribution and DAYNARO Access purchases;
- Google Play Billing, for purchase and entitlement information;
- Google account services, when required for optional Google functionality;
- Google Drive, when you explicitly enable Google Drive backup or restore; and
- Android operating-system services used for permissions, authentication, notifications and file selection.
Those providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
DAYNARO does not authorize third-party services to use DAYNARO's locally stored financial or personal records for advertising.
20. Advertising and analytics
The current DAYNARO release does not contain advertising functionality.
Daynaro Labs does not currently operate analytics tracking for DAYNARO user activity.
If advertising, analytics or other data-collection technology is added in a future release, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before or with that release as required.
21. Sale of personal data
Daynaro Labs does not sell personal or sensitive user data.
DAYNARO does not sell:
- financial information;
- diary content;
- Work Calendar records;
- documents;
- reminder information;
- voice recordings; or
- other DAYNARO records.
A transfer initiated directly by you through export, sharing or a selected third-party service is not a sale by Daynaro Labs.
22. Data retention
Data stored on the device
DAYNARO records normally remain on the device until you:
- delete individual records;
- delete a workspace;
- clear DAYNARO application data;
- uninstall DAYNARO; or
- otherwise use an available deletion function.
Backup files
Backup files remain at the destination where they are stored until they are deleted according to the controls available for that destination.
Exported or shared files
DAYNARO cannot automatically delete copies that you exported, shared or transferred outside the application's controlled storage.
Google Play information
Google Play purchase and subscription records are controlled separately by Google in accordance with Google's applicable policies and legal requirements.
23. Your controls
DAYNARO provides controls that may allow you to:
- view stored information;
- edit records;
- delete records;
- delete local workspaces;
- search information;
- export records;
- create backups;
- restore backups;
- remove supported backup files;
- manage notification settings;
- manage security settings;
- disconnect supported Google integration;
- clear DAYNARO application data; and
- uninstall DAYNARO.
DAYNARO currently does not create or maintain a Daynaro Labs-hosted online user account. A workspace or profile created inside DAYNARO is stored as part of the application's local data and is not a Daynaro Labs cloud account.
A Google account connected for optional Google Drive functionality remains an account provided and controlled by Google. Similarly, Google Play purchase and subscription information is managed through Google Play and does not create a Daynaro Labs online account.
Because the current version does not create a Daynaro Labs-hosted online account, there is currently no separate Daynaro Labs online-account deletion process.
You can delete supported DAYNARO records or workspaces using the controls available in the application. Clearing application data or uninstalling DAYNARO removes locally controlled application data from that device, subject to Android behavior.
Deleting local DAYNARO data does not automatically delete separate backup copies, exported files, files you previously shared, Google Drive backups, or records retained independently by Google Play or another third-party service. Those copies must be managed through the applicable DAYNARO, Google, device, destination or third-party controls.
24. International users
DAYNARO may be made available to users in multiple countries and regions.
Privacy, consumer-protection and data-protection laws differ between jurisdictions.
Daynaro Labs intends to handle information according to this Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements for markets in which DAYNARO is offered.
Where applicable law provides additional rights concerning personal information actually held by Daynaro Labs, users may contact the privacy address listed below.
Because DAYNARO is primarily local-first, Daynaro Labs normally does not possess a copy of the financial, diary, Work Calendar, Vault or other records stored only on your device.
Information held separately by Google or another service provider must generally be managed through that provider's applicable controls.
25. Children's privacy
DAYNARO is designed as a personal finance and productivity application for adults and is not designed or marketed as a children's application.
DAYNARO should not be used by a child where doing so would conflict with applicable law, platform rules or parental-consent requirements.
The target-audience information shown on Google Play will be maintained consistently with the released application.
26. Changes to this Privacy Policy
DAYNARO may change over time.
This Privacy Policy may therefore be updated when there are changes to:
- application functionality;
- permissions;
- storage behavior;
- third-party providers;
- backup or synchronization behavior;
- DAYNARO Access;
- security measures;
- legal requirements; or
- Google Play requirements.
When a material revision is published, the Last updated date at the top of this policy will be changed.
Users should periodically review the current version.
